Farm Walk 2017
The 2017 farm walk was kindly hosted by Daniel and Angus Mackay in conjunction with Gascoyne Cecil Farms, part of the Hatfield House Estate.
The weather was superb as 5 tractors and trailers ferried the 200 guests around the park learning of everything that goes on to make a busy estate run. On the return the bbqs were fired up and bar was in full flow. The night raised over £1000 for the RDACA which will go towards the running of the competitions through the next year.
Hatfield Park will be hosting the game fair only 2 weeks after the night of the walk so it was an extremely interesting insight not only into the running of such a prestigious estate but also the farming methods of a very progressive farming business and the incorporation of a high bloodline livestock enterprise.
A great presentation of all of the prizes from the years competitions was held afterwards.
Thank you very much to everyone who came.
